Quite a few team org changes and word of remaining veteran sales management getting pushed out the door seem to be pointing to big changes and a new wave of layoffs in early September just after Labor Day. Sales look as dismal as ever with the weekly "WINS" reporting renewals at best but no new major sales and no new logos this past quarter. It seems like the only thing the stuffed suit sales org can do is hire more incompetent VP and Dir cronies. Feet on the ground no longer matter. Like it or not the word about AS financial troubles is on the street. Compounding issues for current customers foolishly locked in to contracts is the mo--nic and inept off shore support contractors. A major push with data centre clean ups and "new tools" points to either bankruptcy or a pending sale (not sure why anyone would want AS debt??!!). If you're not looking for a new job, you better start ASAP! Anyone have any other word about the next round in September?

What they need to do is layoff all of pune and go back to the way things were
Looking more and more like October for another RIF. Lately more and more people are walking out the door on their own, but this probably wont have an impact and total number that will be cut.
Oh yes there are for sure... Philadelphia
Didn't think there were any NA DR guys left to RIF. RIFing offshore?
Maybe not Sept but Oct for sure, bye to some DR guys....sending it to off shore
The end is near... get out now!!!
The intentional hastening of the demise of Sungard IS the goal of the PE partners. The PEs have already sold off everything of value, Sungard Financial to FIS, Sungard AS Assurance Software, Small Data Centers to vxchnge, etc. What is left is a steaming pile of junk bond rated sh-- named Sungard AS. This sc-ap left over from SDS is unsellable to anyone at any price. The PE partners know the only way to dispose of the last pieces is to drive what's left into bankruptcy, pay off the execs (per contract), RIF remaining employees (with no severance under bankruptcy. Why do you think 90%+ of all current support is contractors?) and liquidate. Get out now, hope for a RIF and severance before bankruptcy, or go down with the sh--(p).
At this point one has to assume that upper management (especially that dumb f-- andy d) are intentionally hastening the demise of sungard .... the ticketed support system is being fully rolled out in Philly even after every single customer that piloted the program hated it ... customer service is no longer a concern it seems ... simple things that used to take 5 minutes Now take min 30-40 minutes if you’re lucky because of these changes .... primary goal it seems is to offshore operations as fast as possible ..... by the time that’s possible though I’m not sure we’ll have any customers left
