Tommy boy is good guy. He is doing what a CEO suppose to do- To make a company profitable.From the point of running businesse, he is better than previous CEOs. But GF is giant sinking ship, it is hard for him to turn gf back. It is a wrong decision to run foundries business at USA. It is a wrong decision to buy IBM, even worse to depend on IBMers for 7 nm development, those guys are loosers who abandoned by IBM. The problem is that those pre- IBMers are still enjoying IBM culture, they are still live in IBM “glory “ history.
how many more expected at SCG, already 2 out of 5 floors are empty and being prepared to lease to a third party; guessing tommy boy eventually wants to close this location so he don’t have to fly over here every other week and leaving comfort of executive office at f8; or may be move the remaining ones to a much smaller/cheaper location and save some pennies to grant bigger bonuses to pet executives
