Sears struggling with customer service complaints

Complaints are piling up against a company once known as the go-to for home appliances. Sears – once known for quality products and service – is struggling with dissatisfied customers who complain about almost-new appliances that cease to work, weeks waiting for repairs and repairmen who just don't show.

A Raleigh woman's experience is just one example.

Anyone dumb enough to make a big ticket purchase at Sears gets what they deserve.

Bottom-line is that there are thousands of people on those review sites and consumer protection sites BEGGING for Sears and Kmart to go out of business because of how badly they, the consumer were treated. There are page after page of how basically SHLD stole money from these folks or have been withholding a refund for months, or just plain lying to them. News Flash: People also don't like to talking to someone in the Philippines or India over the phone to resolve a problem.

It's a bad, bad, bad sign when people on those sites say they were rooting for SHLD and they spent their hard-earned money there to support SHLD during a tough time and SHLD basically cr@pped in their faces and told them to take a hike.

When you frustrate consumers, steal their money, lie to them, and they have lost your trust to that extent then you deserve to go out of business.

Sears appliance repair services Home Depot and Lowe's appliances. These repairs happen in the stores as well as in the customers homes. So negative HD and Lowes repair reviews can be pointed back to Sears as well. They install remanufactured/used parts that fail all the time. Take forever to ship the parts. The parts come in wrong or damaged and have to be reordered. True...Samsung and LG make pretty good TV's and phones. Just don't buy their appliances.

Yeah, nothing new. A person could spend a year doing nothing but reading negative reviews about Sears and Kmart on Consumer Affairs, BBB, Reseller Ratings, etc...

Thousands and thousands of terrible reviews about bad appliances, bad online experiences, bad home improvement jobs, bad lawn mowers, bad tools, worthless protection plans, awful customer service, etc, etc ,etc.

If there is any definitive proof that SHLD is certainly doomed it is in those reviews..... With that type of reputation SHLD will never be able to make any type of turnaround. Even if the stores were remodeled, the product lines were better, and the stores were making money eventually those terrible reviews would cause irreversible problems.

Apparently Eddie doesn't get it.... At this rate Kenmore, appliance services, SHIP, online retail, and Parts Direct are garbage. Those thousands of reviews tell a story.... Everything has gone to cr@p and people are letting everyone know.

Uh have you looked at any HD or Lowe's FB page. Same BS. Samsung.... well let's just say they make a good phone. LG right behind them. A thought. When an appliance fails... call Sears service. Service goes out to service appliance. Order parts. Parts take 3 weeks. Do you think the customer blames the appliance manufacturer or Sears service. It almost DOESN'T pay to have a service department backing the problem. This has to be addressed.

This has been a problem since the 1980’s. Why do you think most of the 50 and under crowd go to, well anywhere else really, before Sears?
