Great results from Hock's Team !! Kudos - for doing it repeatedly !!

Few employees seem to be still worried about layoffs :-) !!

Why do you put down the Indian team? You could've asked the same question without insulting our fellow peers. When questions are posed like this, you run the chance of gettinga hostile response.

Now that October is round the corner, y'all got any news? I'm hearing stuff about ccx and wcc. I heard that the US team will be most affected, and the worthless Indian team will be almost untouched. And truth to this?

Well said. Broadcom is extremely stable and growing at a steady pace. We don't see any need of layoffs or haven't heard about it. This year looks more stable than ever !!

Compared to other semiconductor companies, Broadcom looks stable. So investors don't expect any work force reductions. For employees it is time to relax.

Here's the thing about that "bottom 2-5% folks only".

Broadcom doesn't invest a lot in organically seeking new business so many business units do little hiring.

So if they cut the bottom 5%, then the bottom 5% of the remaining 95%, then the bottom 5% of the remaining 90.25%, etc etc eventually everyone is a "bottom 2-5% folk"

I work at CA. Broadcom was in for meetings last week (in New York). Nice people.

As far as I can tell Broadcom is executing a wholesale dismantling of CA as an institution.

It’s definitely impressive.

Good luck Broadcom!

CA will have at least 9000 laid off if not more.

Layoffs have ended as Semiconductor Groups have been consolidated and stable now. Whatever might happen would be very minimal ..may be bottom 2-5% folks only. Not to worry..
