If it is true for PC/TC.... Keep your Career Pref updated every 30 days..if it had been set for more than 60 days..is will not fall in any new req. We are a pilot store for the new Career Pref. External app's will update as they are filled out for open req's..internal will not...

I am in Porterville Ca. Our store has been open 25yrs. Both PC and TC are original associates. I too am an original. As of today our TC and PC have not been notified of a job elimination on either of their jobs. We are a small town and a small div 1 store. Not saying they are not eliminating these jobs in some stores, but in my area it hasn't happened yet. We just started a full remodel so maybe after that has been done it will happen. I've seen a lot of job codes come and go in 25 yrs. It happens all the time. Good luck to all in these positions. It s---s not knowing what's happening with your job.
PCTC eliminated, Techs in ALL health and wellness areas(pharm/vision), ALL accounting, all ATF in the academy ALL new job codes and pay grades/band coming..... only will be 3..... NO 4-5-6-7anymore

Can’t trust any of them when I was at shareholders and Invoice elimination asked they stood there with the BS reassurance that was a rumor and by end of that summer they were gone !!!

I agree accounting does all mngt routines. It will also be a sad day as well with all those unresearched shortages and routines.
If they can find someone to do all we do...as well as we do it...let them...but..who will clean the breakrooms and set up for meetings..help with the the Thanksgiving/Christmas dinners....back up the SM...Asst Mgrs when they don't have time...it will be a sad day for every store when we go away.... Well paid OGP for me..or a Cashier...lol...

Our Market HR told us it’s a rumor and not to worry. But that can’t be trusted.
Accounting office did go away in a pilot of 50 stores earlier this year. The final phase rolls this fall. Morning CSM now processes and finalized cash office. Many changes coming but NOTHING on Walmart side mentioned for PC/TC at this time.

You would physically have to fall in that requisition. If it's just word of mouth offering you a position that does not count.

I do not think there is anything comparable to PC. In order to show interest in another position, you have to put it in your preferences and be interviewed. Just don't do that.
So, if I am offered a comparable job at a store 20 miles away and I don’t take it I am out of job and I don’t receive severance?

Our TC and PC were told weeks ago to start looking for other positions if they did not want to leave. Severance will be offered however, if there is a comparable paying position available and they dont take it, no severance will be offered. They were told there is no definate date as of yet for their eliminations but by end of year. Most SM won't say anything until they have to. They dont want people leaving before the job is eliminated. Then they would have to fill a job temporarily.
Your store mngr must not be in with the click within the market. All offices will be gone. Noone wants hear these changes but it's gonna happen. Don't be surprised when you get notice. Store managers don't get notices until the mrkt manager is told to cover these changes.
Our SM talked with accounting this morning. I (PC) jokingly asked if I was next, he said no! That he doesn’t have any info about PC/TC.. He laughed and said he would have had his tissues out for me if it was true.
