@UFFlZCK-wri - I must appreciate the foresight and the prediction you made abt JF's fate and the profile of the guy replacing him. Take a bow
It hardly matters. GE will just go on as a ghost of its former glory, limping along with cheap stock. Thet don't have anything left that someone else isn't doing better. Their last big idea failed due to abysmal execution and flimsy bandaids where there should have been amputations. Putting -- and then leaving -- Bill Ruh in charge of GE Digital was an unprecedented disaster.
With how c-appy this new entity is perceived internally we’d be lucky if acquired by dollar general or big lots. We are f’ed.
Would be awesome to be acquired by a French winery and enjoy discounts. Love French wine.
Can we merge with Tim Horton's? That would be excellent. I love their donuts.
All big empires fall eventually. Look at the Kodak’s and Sears. Etc. No one had foresight to stop short term success theater.
Who?
Well, why is anyone surprised that we're breaking GE up? I pretty much expected it once Nelson Peltz gained his board seat... It is a well known strategy for him... "Peltz’s strategy in past high-profile turnarounds often included spinning off divisions. His Wendy’s restaurant chain in 2006 spun off Tim Hortons." https://nypost.com/2018/01/16/nelson-peltz-hopes-he-can-turn-things-around-for-ge/
@UFFlZCK-sqm - Don't drag goats into this, it gives them a bad name. :-)
@UFFlZCK-frz One more thing the GE rank and file are some of the best in the biz but the sr leadership blows goats
@UFFlZCK-frz Lol no it needs to be someone from outside GE that has a proven track record. Someone that can clean up the accounting mess and get us back on track. Selling off Ge is not the answer!
Who would you replace him with? Jeff
