How come there are all of these reports of layoffs in July and August but nothing happens? This has been going on for a long time now. It appears micron is causing a panic so people will leave and they don't have to lay them off. Layoff a few hundred and then threaten a few thousand that they are next to save having to do a severance payout is what I think. Trying to get people to leave!

I agree! Low morale and high stress for sure, but is it worth killing yourself over?
It manipulates the workforce to work harder, longer hours. Most will try to outwork/outperform their coworkers so they are not the ones let go. Of course this causes low morale, but Micron doesn't seem to care about that. You are just a number to them.
