I got axed last year - took me about 2 months to find a decent replacement job and I am happy right now. No matter what happens you will be shocked but do not despair - get your game in order, update your LinkedIn page daily (puts you on the top of the searches if your updates are fresh) and network a lot. Ping everyone you know, let them know you are available - it does not hurt and it may help (that helped me as one of my contacts pinged me back with an opportunity that was not listed on job boards yet so my competition pool was greatly reduced)...
