Mass layoff staring today and continuing into tomorrow in Hoffman Estates headquarters and India office. Company is doing very bad and churn is terrible. Management is making horrible product decisions. Vehicle space team is less than half now.

The only thing not being cut it seems is the shares paid to Brian and his cronies...who awards these?
Sad times for a once great set of companies!
The saddest thing is that the America run by Wall Street now values stock price and investor return over good products.
What will happen when all the companies that made a good product start shutting down because the investors demanded to many cuts and then the company falls apart?

Keep cutting 500-600-1500 people every new fiscal over the last 4 years, who's left? And keep getting rid of quality people.
Oh, but keep hiring high level VPs that were formerly with Brian at GE or Hertz who have no idea about this business.

I have heard people speculate that an upcoming sale is the reason for this layoff, because otherwise it doesn't make sense. Nobody has seen or heard any reports of an interested buyer lately. I am not sure how we conduct business now, build software, support customers with so many gone.

The company is being sold and that will finalize by the end of September. Big "promo" right now to convert competitive dealers and they MUST BE INSTALLED by September 12th. Per Brian MacDonald himself. He claims thats the end of the reporting for Q1 and thats the reason for the rush. Q1 price valuation maybe???

CDK is attempting to buy eLeadOne CRM. They will ruin that company like they have the rest.

Fortellis is a smoke screen for what it really is. Fortellis is CDK's tool that will allow them to stop developing their own solutions internally and provide a bridge for 3rd party providers to do the developing. If 3rd parties develop all the software there's nothing for CDK to support internally. It's CDK's version of the "App Store".

The count last I heard was ~400-600 company wide, with departments like custom programming being completely cut.
CDK was barely working after the last round of layoffs, now it's run by essentially a skeleton crew right before the big FLEX project's deadline they prematurely announced by an insane amount, regardless of what the engineers were saying when asked for of course.
No way it can both deliver on flex promises as well as fortellis and keeping our EXISTING customers up and running.
