Thread regarding CDK Global Inc. layoffs

This is the way it works in corporate America

This round the number is close to 500 employees. Cutting, Cutting Cutting -not because you were BAD people, because it is a new year at CDK and we HAVE to show a profitable position to our major investor AND the other stock holders.

I saw a comment online that said "Pay no attention to the nay-sayers, they were let go for a reason", implying that we are singling out underperforms. This is not necessarily true. directors and Project Managers were ask to cut staff and given numbers (heads).

Your direct supervisor made the decision on who to keep and who to lay off. We have to trust their judgement because they work with you and manage you on a daily basis. We realize that in some cases that friendships create favoritism for various employees.

Please remember that they will have to LIVE with their choices and will be expected INCREASE performance at the lower head counts with the people they selected to keep, or their jobs will be in jeopardy very soon. This is the way it works in corporate America.

My experience with ADP and CDK was very troubling. These people are sharks with the intelligence and feelings of rocks on the side of the road. Customers are milked until they are dry and useless. They are then abandoned for new and fresh opportunities. Keep far,far away from these idiots!

For showing profitability if you have to fire employee then its pure failure of higher management.

Low performance can be understandable, but even high rating guys have been fired.

One should think twice before joning CDK next time becuase may be they will just fire you not because you are bad but to show profitability.. Hilarious !!

For what it’s worth my immediate supervisor informed me that he had no decision in making the decision to lay me off. The investors and stockholders should also realize that to make America great again especially in corporate America they should put more resources in the employees they have that are doing a great job instead of either outsourcing our jobs to another country or hiring new people and the expense of training new hires with little or no experience. Many relationships have been made with our clients and internal coworkers that give Stability and Loyalty to a company.
