There was talk during an all hands meeting about reducing the amount of companies Staples uses for contractors. Sounds like we should see some action on this in the near future, keep an eye out.

Yes, everyone in all departments are being layed off next week. No severance packages
Contractors are being reduced. However, mergers and acquisitions, and affiliates will increase.
In short, Staples will contract with less "Mom and Pop" companies and outsource more to companies like HiTouch and Quill.
Outsourcing will drastically increase, but yes, Staples will lay off more as a result.
Also rumors are next cuts in Sds are being planned around last week of July..can anyone confirm?
