Good morning. Anyone have any new info on CFA/Parkplace. Low on work thinking something is coming soon. Can't keep people doing nothing. Building looking a little empty.
Yes, your EDMC employment counts! Your severance will be affected, however, by when you were notified of your impending lay off and your anticipated last day of employment.
??? Got my severance and it went back to may start with EDMC 4 years ago. Let's stick to the facts here, I still have a lot of friends there and they need to know the truth!
In the email that was sent last week it says that your time employed at EDMC counts. It was at the bottom in small print. I really hope this is misinformation.
No one has worked for the Dream Center more than a year. You're actually getting 2 weeks severance for 1 year service. None of us works for EDMC any longer. We all started a new job when the Dream Center bought the schools.
The thing is that you may have worked for EDMC for 10 years, but you have only worked for the Dream Center for 1 year, so don't expect any severance related to time employed by EDMC. Almost glad I was fired last June right before the deal went thru, as I got 11 years of severance from EDMC. I can't believe someone manages the Art Institute worse than EDMC, but it looks like the Dream Center is pulling it off.
They are referring to academic advisors being let go today.
So no severance? I thought they said one week for every year of service? Who was let go today? Finance?

Nope. Got our peace out package in the mail today. No severance. Just two weeks of pay. Such liars. I’m so furious.

They laid people off today but told them to come in to work. Oh yeah and no severance!
There is still a lot of confusion about closing dates and who is getting laid off when. mid September keeps floating around. No real severance which is heart breaking. on the argosy side it seems to be nothing but mass confusion.
