California is done. Without employees there is no union. This was discussed years ago but the union did nothing but cave to Verizon and now Frontier. While the members, the real workers of the company were left out of the loop during the last contract it cost us our company paid insurance.

Ten contractors to every one company employee. In a yard that I work at that use to have well over 200 workers is down to about 30 and that's counting both construction and install repair guys. We find out yards have been sold through other means while the union and the company denies claims until someone gets their hands on city records, then they confess it's true. Ask what is in the works and they say nothing. Then a couple days later come out with some crazy plan disrupting peoples lives relocating them to other yards.

Then there is the billing scams on customers that keep chasing away subscribers which leads to no reason to have employees and then no union.

All the while the people at the top keep rewarding themselves huge pay increases and bonuses.

keep benefits at same cost to employee, but get pay raise and still no layoffs. While Texas is fighting take backs. This is a win for California.

Word is most locals in CWA voting NO on extension. Only around 2,600 employees left in California. Around 400 vacancies have not been filled by Frontier in California. Texas on the verge of getting hammered with a dismal contract, and it is understood Frontier is still trying to sell Florida, Texas and California.
