Students that are enrolled when their school closes or within 120 days of the school closing are eligible to have all of their federal student loans canceled as long as they DO NOT sign anything and DO NOT accept a teach-out or transfer.
I was laid off last week so no longer have access to the students, but those of you who do, please, spread the word.
Ai will do what is best for them regardless of how badly the students are impacted (in CYA mode really, they will all be closing soon, or closing out degree programs for software training, hanging on to a paycheck as long as possible, maybe DCEH will reward you all).

Does this apply to parent plus loans as well? Or only if the loan was in just the student's name?
Too late they are all being advised to withdraw or transfer. I have had maybe one student in every class. They are not being given this information which is very sad.

There is no mention in the DCEH talking points, and at least some campuses (therefore not surprisingly) appear not to be telling students, about their potential right to obtain a closed school student loan discharge. As noted above, DCEH is pretending the campuses are not closing, even though the company has indicated that it will stop teaching students in person at those locations.
