Has anyone availed the COBRA benefits after leaving in May\June? Are the monthly premiums worth taking the benefit?

Take in account the Market place tax subsidy( if qualify),its income based so after subsidy it could be quite low/free. Those subsidies are not available for cobra
I believe date for check is July 24. Last day June 19 + 35 days.
Can anyone else confirm?
HAve you all received the severance check?
We signed up for the employee for Kaiser (wife has her own plan, no other dependents), both have vision and dental. Cheaper than going onto my wife’s plan at this time. Waived the Health Care Option as it was more expensive than all three combined, not sure if it saved us anything as it may be post taxes anyway?
I've signed up because for a single plan, it's significantly cheaper than the market. I figure I'll use my HSA account to pay the premiums. Hopefully, that's allowed.
Agreed. COBRA was cheaper than a market plan.
Ask the Health Advocate service that Qualcomm provided to you to run a compare for you.
As example, the COBRA for familly is around $1200 / month. If you try to find exact the same type of healthcare from the Market place, it will cost you around $2000 - $2500 / month.
