Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

Anybody?

Just wondering, does anybody at DST still have faith in our leadership? Still believes that there is a way for us to progress instead of regress with current management on top?

DST management will be gone in a year or so . They will promote some but they will need to adhere to SSt deliver the $$, then DST management will need to do more drastic cuts. SS&C will consolidate the facilities and IT datacenters.

The finance/legal/HR functions will need to operate lean. SS&C has bought the DST and DST will do as they are told. Employees will see more cuts and share the burden of the costs. Health plans will be two choices. No wellness plans. one dental plan. 401k matching will be cut. No more stock options for new employees. No other perks such as discounts.....you are on your own. DST is currently in the honeymoon phase and its about to turn ugly in 2019. Expect more cuts leading up to 2019 across the board.

Who is this "us" you're referring to? If you mean the business, the business doesn't have to do anything, it's at a steady state, all they have to do it the bare minimum to provide the services the customers are paying for, and the minimum enhancements to keep up with regulations. To keep this thing ticking over they just need a skeleton crew, certainly not the 3,500 hangers on ssnc ceo mentioned. All the mutual fund clients who were paying for dedicated resources? They get one from the pool, not an fte of their own. What are they going to do? The competititon in TA is a joke.

SSNC ceo know this, they bought a cash cow, they'll fire everyone and milk it, they can afford to lose clients in fact.

If by "us" you mean the employees, those who choose to remain owe the company nothing, certainly nothing more than ssnc ceo is giving long time dst customers ie the bare minimum. Punch the clock, do what required, nothing more. Cash the check.

This thing will sputter on for years to come.
