Everything is possible but requires them probably be a Device Admin so at anytime they can delete content of your device.
Before coming here, worked for a company and they said load your email on phone and people did. They clearly didn't read by accepting they would be a Device Admin, well they fired one guy and factory reset his personal phone. The guy just had a baby and had pictures...ALL GONE, due to lack of reading.
You can get vpn access on personal devices. I don't think the company wants you to especially for techs but it is possible.
ask your supervisor. it's only for techs, not hackers
