I don't know if this is true, but I heard that Ai Chicago received a letter informing them that they were no longer accredited soon after the sale to DCEH happened. No one was informed, including students who graduated this past Spring. They were supposed to earn MFA's. They got certificates.

Almost every Ai has had accreditation problems at one time or another, and the issue is usually related to admissions practices and/or corporate leadership and financials - not the quality of academic programs.
Didn’t Atlanta have accreditation issues as well though? Should they be considered the next to go?
Correct, DCEH notified 1/20/18 that all four HLC schools were moved to candidacy status, and required them to notify students, faculty, and staff - which they eventually got around to 6/25/18, then decided to close all those schools and many others with their own accreditation woes on 6/29/18. Nothing to see here folks, move along!
No Accreditation since January 20th and no one was informed. The graduates that just graduated degrees are not accredited. They sent emails to student emails and some student's don't even look at their student emails. No formal letter sent and they are still not mentioning the fact that these student's who choose to finish the last two terms that they won't be accredited.
