To make sure I get the offer from ADP in the next round?

There is no reason to believe that ADP will ever offer an ERP again. The rumor I last heard was that layoff packages will be MUCH less generous than in years before.
You are in danger of losing your job more readily if you are participating in the pension plan (no longer being offered to new employees) or are home shored.
No "team" or employee is safe. Don't kid yourself. Your "director" is not safe . The only safe ones are the executives and and an extremely small circle of hand picked synchophants. Now you might or might not escape the axe, but I can assure you that you are not safe. The layoffs have been underway since 2016 and will continue until 2020 in various forms. This "One ADP" plan has been in the works as far back as 2011. You need to do your homework.
They are hiring contractors. Some are starting in July.
It all depends on where in the org those 72% came from. If they see areas that are still overstaffed according to their definition, layoffs in those areas will still happen. The question will be how they deal with those areas that are now understaffed.
Way way back in the day, I’m going to say June 2001 or June 2002 there was a voluntary lay off offered. Then the following June a flat out Lay off.
Then the big OEI (organizational effeciency initiative I believe is what it stood for) and SO many people where laid off between Feb-June 2009. Every Friday offices and regions held their breathes. This went on for months.
There will NOT be another lay off OR this early retirement offer for a very long time. Not after SO many people who were offered the retirement package took it! 72% took it and the company was expecting 30-35% max. Does anyone look at that and wonder WHAT DOES THAT SAY ABOUT THE STATE OF THE CO & THE EMPLOYEES?
I’m still here. I believe the team I am on is safe as our director “claims” nothing to our team.... but as mentioned in many posts in other threads, the lies are endless.
I wish there were a way to volunteer to be laid off with a severance cuz I would do that in a heartbeat if there were.... unfortunately I think you have to wait for adp to offer it to you
