There are still plenty of screw ups and rejects still working at Altice, as if that’s any consolation.

Someone had written in apost that most of the guys who went to spectrum were the screwups and rejects, sounds about right

I wonder if the guys who talk so negatively about the striking spectrum workers and how they lost their jobs to the scabs that jumped are only saying those things to convince themselves that they aren't going to get screwed

You hit the nail paidge. Altice is the worst cable company in USA and that’s a shame cablevision was a great place to work for it was like a second family.

Techs that went to spectrum were smart, or ran away? I personally feel they couldn’t handle the heat Altice was giving. I just love the fact that guys took a retirement package and didnt retire, and went to work for spectrum why? Double dip you guys don’t realize how much damaged you have done to your fellow technicians you have stagnated the marketplace look at the Bx Newark in ALtice you destroyed it majority contractors now the this will be the end game. This is what they want Contractors low pay no benefits. This is the new model. That money is temporary there will be an adjustment. This is still tied up in courts, All the company is doing is stalling they have no real case, they stall check their record, that’s all they do L after L. How could you honestly say that the company is bargaining in good faith, your management team Are liars. Why Did they offer guys 45 and 35 would you have left to spectrum if it was market rate 18-25 you are being used as a pawn. They are not offering no way near that salary to settle the strike and do you believe that this is a illegal strike. who told you? management of course they are so honest. They have been with no contract for two years before the strike how is that illegal. Keep listening to one side get the facts straight homie. And no I am not a union advocate I did my research easy to find Nlrb website transcripts and listening to both sides and decide who was right and wrong get facts on your own.

That’s rite! We stepped rite in after they did an illeagle walk out. Know the rules to the game we’re playing! And as for your prediction of how long our jobs will last, I would bet I’ll be here longer than your Altice is a company. Get your shorts in now, ‘cause she’s going to $0! But don’t worry, use me as a reference when you come begging for a job here. I won’t hold a grudge, you just drank too much cool-aid.

Thanks for the offer, but I already took my exit to the greener pastures of Chartervision. Keep your ISP, OSP, and whatever else Altice has for you and enjoy it all!

5niq, you're right that is why everytime there is an opening in ISP, most of F.S and OSP even a couple of supervisors applied. I know that if they offer you a job in ISP (Headend) you will turn it down right? because it is only grade 17.

Sure, us “kids”, cleaning up the mess you “old timers” left. For every one tech that took the buy out and worked until they retired, there were a handful that stopped doing any work the first time they saw the email suggesting their was a way out for them. I personally know 1 tech that worked harder than all of us until his separation date. I doubt he is on this board. He is doing better things with his time I’m sure.

And they are wondering why this is happening with the company. I'm also retired, took the package after 30 yrs. with the company. I was not happy on my last couple of years but I still work the best I could and proud of it.

Can't believe the contempt and disrespect some of these workers have for their coworkers, what a terrible atmosphere this company has fostered for their workforce

It was easy to get an hour lunch. You see, first I just went to the tap and said there was no problem, then I drove away and parked behind Dunkin Donuts, then some one else actually fixed the problem while I took my extended lunch. You guys are such s---ers for doing your jobs! Now That I got my 3 weeks for every year, I can do nothing all day, without even going to work!

Years ago I made up my mind that I was taking my hour for lunch and it was going to be at the proper time. If someone didn’t like it then it was tough ship! My phone stayed in the truck and if someone called they waited. If it was important enough then I was paid for my time. I didn’t put up with their bs. You guys need to grow a set and do the same. That’s your time, if you feel like giving them an hour for free???? But then I was smart enough to get away from that place. Never been happier since I left.

Really I always tried to knock out all my jobs out then Try to take lunch after, if that was possible let’s stop acting like this wasn’t legit especially the management trolls acting like they techs. Let’s not forget those lunchtime outages keep it real this was legitimate maybe not as much now but back then it was they fix it after the fact.

sorry but this is some funny stuff. I've been taking my lunch driving between jobs on the daily for 12 years. I can't remember the last time I actually took an honest lunch. God forbid you put in for 30 minutes overtime. "You must take your lunch and you cannot take it at the end of the day" just make sure you fit it in your three 8-11's, three 11-2's and two 2-5's.

I'm sure they didn't complain about getting done at 3pm and chilling at the local coffee shop until 3:30 lol. what a joke

There is a large group from Jersey depots with similar issues.

This case was just recently settled along with the one filed by Bronx Field Service. Everyone on the complaint supposed to be receiving a settlement award.

No way Altice wanted something like this to wind up in front of a jury because they were 100% guaranteed to lose.

Still amazed at how little press coverage this all got.
