Thread regarding ADP layoffs

ADP in a nutshell

Of the 40 plus people I know offered the retirement deal only 2 people didn't take it. It's my understanding the planned for about 30 percent of those offered the package to accept it. It's way higher! Many of these people whom are leaving did so because they felt they had to not because they wanted to. Everyone walks on eggshells. What happens now when all of these skilled programmers and technical folks leave? The platforms are antiqaunted at best. Nobody will be left to keep these systems maintained and running. The people left will get a crash course in training but no way can they replace all the years of experience. Get ready for long delays, slower completion and incompetent work. Stock prices may be rising but this is at the expense of the clients.

There was also an 8-k filing with the SEC that Ed Flynn III, President Global Enterprises was leaving as of 6/30/18. (Commission file # 1-5397). You can find it on ADP investor relations site under SEC filings. Looks like some of the top people are swimming back to shore for safety.

Know of people that were offered the ERP and did not take it. Now they are all wishing they did. They will be all be given all the problems to correct since the new employees don’t know how to research anything since they were not trained.

The message of the ERP is very simple, they are making an offer to those that qualify and pay them to leave, they aren't paying them to stay. There is ZERO reason to trust Senior Leadership, it was time to take the $$ and RUN!!!!

I sure would have taken it if I was still there. The silver lining for those that didn't is that this loss of experience will be tough to overcome so there is a chance that the bloodletting will slow for at least a while. That on top of the fact that ADP will have to pay out twice what they expected to those that left.

Totally agree with statement that most people felt they had to take the ERP package not that they wanted to. Let’s be realistic here based on what’s been happening over the last few years i think you can assume if you didn’t take the package you at at very high risk for being layed off. They are calling it “Voluntary” but that is debatable. If the package wasn’t offered most would not be looking to leave the company. So yes no one was forced into anything but one has to just look at what’s been going on lately and as they say “ the handwriting is on the wall”
