Thread regarding ADP layoffs

Unbelievable incompetence

It took ADP management 18 months to figure out that cheap labor couldn't do the jobs that experienced and dedicated associates were doing? Unbelievable incompetence! They should have known this in advance. That is what they are paid their high salaries for. To know their company inside and out so that they can navigate their company properly to successful ventures. Instead, it is a disaster and will end up costing the company more than they saved in labor costs.

My belief is, it might be incompetence, but more likely a case of greed and cover up fake efforts by incapable people. The large consulting firm that did the study that offered up the idea to replace the workforce with young, inexperienced people that ADP could in turn pay much less was just blindly trusted it was a good solution. THAT was the real problem! The efforts by the "executive" senior team is lacklaster and certainly does not warrant their pay scale. But they skipped that rung of the ladder when pruning!

I am sure this was happening in many areas as they tried to figure out how they were going to replace the work of tenured knowledgeable associates who they feel are overpaid. My department wasted countless man hours and clients suffered through difficult and frustrating months trying to bring this cheap labor up to speed, which they never quite grasped or else by the time they were getting the hang of just a small piece of the skills needed they left to go to another job paying them more. ADPs systems are so complex and confusing even after 20 years I still have to research issues daily to find a resolution. Mgmt that has never worked a day on the front lines have no idea what it takes to keep things running. There is NO easy button at ADP.
