Anyone know if they typically give severance to the laid off? Ever heard of them laying off without it?
Just curious in case they hit this month.

Did they let the other work from home people go too 20 years?
After 20 years, I was let go over the phone with HR. I received 8 weeks of severance and my benefits ended 4 business days after the call. I never went back into the office again and I stopped working moments after that phone call. Life goes on. Will UOPX?
"Ethics and compliance page." Oh boy!!!
Roundabout way of saying there ain't no severence.
Severance policy is posted in the Policy Library on the Ethics and Compliance page.
Much of the severance is withheld for taxes.
I was at UOP for nearly 10 years and saw many a layoff. Typically severence went by tenure(0-5 yrs got X, 6-10 got Y, etc.). Usually it's a couple weeks, and possibly a little bump of cash to 'entice' you to voluntarily leave. If you choose NOT to leave, then the 'perk' they offer is typically taken away. Hope this helps, and good luck.
