Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

What Al said today

Can you believe it? Al said the merger went 100% smooth and was completely successful?

That the new Enbridge is so much better now! Really?

Then why Al, is our stock price in the toilet?

Perhaps the market isn't quite so rosy as you on how the merger has gone.

BTW, when first announced it was an acquisition, now it's a merger? What's up with that?

He will end up in the same island that K Lay is hiding out at with Tupac and Notorious BIG.

He cannot say the opposite (even if that is true) because then he will shoot himself in his head. He just needs few more years untill he gets his pocket full and can happy to retire. The rest of ENB can go to toilet, he doesn't care. The sooner he leaves the better for ENB

I chalk it up to revisionist history and early stage dementia. By all sane accounts, the acquisition was a failure.

Speaking of CEOs who were not able to come up with an straight answer – remember Ken Lay of Enron fame – the one question posed to him by am employee was “ are you on crack coc--ne ?” Ken Never came up with an answer – it seems like breathing the rarefied air at the top induces an alternate reality

I’d say ask KR but she’s not around to help quantify the merger success, or lack thereof, and maybe she knew that. Wasn’t that the RDO’s job? Do they even still exist? It’s like a twilight zone episode. They can’t even remember what the goals originally were.

Mashing two companies together isn't merger "success". What happened to ensuring a good culture. The integration originally wasn't just about cutting people and costs. We were supposed to focus on org structure - including no "senior" in titles, we took titles away from layers and layers, but now promoted people to "senior" VP??? AND what happened to RAPIDS?? RAPIDs were to help with good and fast decisons which clearly isn't happening. Why isn't the Board wondering about any of this? Why aren't investors asking about any of this? Why aren't our execs being held to what they told the whole company would be merger success??

What else is Al going to say? He can say what he wants but the debt numbers and share price don't lie.
