Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

Octane A flop show, brought back to the ground

Octane thought he was a great businessman. He wanted to outsmart and buy a real engineering company and break it into pieces and sell it off

Now the whole world knows his reputation is only to make money. Not to invest in R&D just wants some sales , if no sales sell or close division

Under such circumstances it would be really hard for him to buy companies let alone run BRCM

His only move is to reduce head count rather than invest in R&D short term vision, shoot and scoot

Agreed. He simply doesn't care about ACTIVE entities, neither for end customer using products nor for engineering building those products. Both are unhappy with his business model. This model only caters to passive gallery of greedy wall-street investors and acquisition's C-suites, after all they are the ones who keep him filthy rich. Why bother about any layoff or sell-off affecting the very people who created them?

Rightly said OP.

Ocatane is a finance guy not a engineer..he can only squeeze the lemon so much..

Ppl should start looking..as Ocatne will certainly cut more costs and outsource as much as he can.

Once hes done ..he will parachute out..leaving the othets to pick up the pieces.

Barrons had a nice article on that..
