And if there were, are they done for now?

In general, if you are being RIF'd, you are told that day, and escorted out that day. However, it is possible that someone could be given notice they have a month left. I've witnessed same.
I've seen a few immediate position reductions for staff that happened same day--DEM and SSAs. For obvious reasons, faculty eliminations don't work that way. Usually it's for the upcoming term and so there are a few weeks' notice or more to finish grading the current classes.
If you've heard nothing, don't panic.
Panic, well no. But there is obvious cause for concern, don't you think? Anyone in this situation not concerned may not have a firm grip on reality. The company is being shuffled off for cheaper-than-free to a mysterious third party who has not yet commented on the situation or acknowledged the transfer, dependent on metrics that the company may or may not meet, and the popular consensus seems to be that after the execs get their magical golden parachute holiday, the company will be stripped down for parts. Might warrant some minor concern. I could be wrong, though. Maybe I really am just an alarmist.

If you've heard nothing, don't panic. And read s l o w l y and carefully.
If someone was posting fake layoff announcements then they are cruel, sadistic, and utterly beneath contempt. What kind of sick person would create even more tension and anxiety for people already at the breaking point. Take a good hard look at your life because you are a scumbag. Hope that you feel good about yourself
No layoffs but this week that might change.
I think the answer is no, but it would be nice to be sure.
