Thread regarding Juniper Networks Inc. layoffs

Were there any layoffs this week?

Somebody mentioned there were layoffs earlier this week but couldn't provide any details. I've tried to find some info on what has happened since that was the first I heard of it, but there's nothing.

Were there any layoffs? My coworker has no reason to lie, but there simply isn't anything on it.

Keeping the numbers small to avoid reporting cuts to the department of labor - cunning !

Last time, Juniper HR did the same thing by staggering the cuts and paying off varying weeks of severance pay.

So there were some "realignments" today which effected sales teams and "other organizations" in the US, as well as at least one Sr. Director in Services Management.

"That management team is the most corrupt, political, power hungry management i have ever seen in my career". Well said @TkvL1LW-6crn. Applies to majority of software junks also.

@TkvL1LW-1vin I was one of those fleeing supply chain operations people. But they spin it to their positive: "none of those people leaving are regrettable. we wanted them out." That management team is the most corrupt, political, power hungry management i have ever seen in my career.

Marketing is always firing and hiring. That is how the marketing leadership stays busy. Marketing misleads sales. Entire sales teams go back to Cisco, Huawei, HP, IBM etc. throughout the world. These employees have to replaced and these new hires go through orientation as well. Good engineers leave because they see the wall at the end of the tunnel. They are just fed up. Often replacements are approved over the existing hiring freeze.

You really can't judge how poorly Juniper is doing by watching the hiring trends. In fact what you read here on this (anonymous) channel is closer to the truth than any other source of information inside Juniper.

Despite all speculations of layoffs, there was a new employee orientation last Monday in Sunnyvale. I wonder which groups are hiring.

Usually hiring freeze and headcount reduction are much better indicators than random rumors. Hiring freeze does not happen yet. You can also get a rough headcount number yourself in org chart. Once you see the flee rate, you will probably get an idea if another "small alignment" is necessary.

Does anyone have a specific date for the June Layoffs? The size of the layoffs?

Supply chain operations people fleeing and leaving weekly. Bad management. They claim “we are great “. Look at the turnover numbers idiots. Do simple math and you’ll see how great you are.. There is the “in” click and if you are not part of it, good luck to you and your going nowhere career.

There will be layoffs in June. Confirmed. The guy screaming "rumors" and "fake news" etc. as few people pointed out in another thread, is political , not to be believed.

But layoffs are coming in June. Be prepared. Not sure which groups will be hit. Heard managers have been told to prepare names.

I am in Amsterdam.

Peace and best wishes.
