Marketing is always firing and hiring. That is how the marketing leadership stays busy. Marketing misleads sales. Entire sales teams go back to Cisco, Huawei, HP, IBM etc. throughout the world. These employees have to replaced and these new hires go through orientation as well. Good engineers leave because they see the wall at the end of the tunnel. They are just fed up. Often replacements are approved over the existing hiring freeze.
You really can't judge how poorly Juniper is doing by watching the hiring trends. In fact what you read here on this (anonymous) channel is closer to the truth than any other source of information inside Juniper.
