Anyone heard any rumours about cuts in the UK yet? My manager was suggesting it might be a possibility in the next 6 months.

NSBU hiring is for the benefit of certain overseas ethnic community. You are out of job and promotion opportunities if you are not identified a member.
Nicira had real diversity which has been quashed under current privileged overseas ethnic management structure. Few months back there was a similar post about EUC. NSBU is definitely much worse. Our CEO has been too busy with Dell deals to care about VMware employee grievances.
I am much happier at a Mountain View company that truly hires and promotes based on individual skills not ethnic identity.

most of us, vmware employees in above regions are very very productive and efficient; we are not "hangin out" per se; we get things done.
of course cannot say that about the code-named mobsters in euc or the larger vmware vp/gm ochlocracy.

If you don't like working for us, It is not pedantic, leave. Many whiners have left. Attrition is better vs layoffs.
EUC needs to hire people overseas to achieve bottom line targets. Palo Alto leadership has streamlined and defined processes and operations thus we need fewer people hanging out in USA, EU, UK, China, etc.

Prior to last quarter, EUC product releases were a total mess. Because OG took over last release, 4 products including crappy UI feature shipped. Thank you Operational Guru for your contributions across the products.
TOP GM has indicated that Ruthless will be transitioning out and we hope Operational Guru will be taking over. You better align with Operational Guru; future Engineering VP. Customers are going to have far better experience with EUC products.

It is not pedantic that all jobs move to BNG to save VMware millions; there is tremendous operational streamlining in EUC under leadership.
