Hey guys..
It's starting. Some colleagues at HO have been told that their jobs have been eliminated at the end of June...Brace yourself!

No one is denying that the final nail in the coffin is coming. However for trolls to post about fake layoffs gets in the way of real news.
It's only inciting panic in those who are in denial. I was part of a DeVry layoff after 8 years of being with the company, and we saw the same signs before we were informed of the layoff. This site actually confirmed it before it got to our department. I understand that there are people who are afraid to lose their jobs, but just be aware. You are on this site for a reason, so why keep saying people are lying if you feel so secure in your job? Open your eyes. It's better to be prepared than to not be.
2gik--Correct. Trolls just here to incite fear.
I wish people would stop saying the sky is falling without any compelling proof...keep it real; don't just incite panic...
So, what are they doing...just shuffling people from HO out to DVU? That means the people holding those posts at the campuses will be pushed out, and these people will take their jobs until they're pushed out? Is this some kind of accounting exercise to improve the company's bottom line?
its funny....recently a large number of employees were "transition" from the parent company to DVU. Can you see the wall in the road here....DVU is getting a huge amount employees from Home Office but then they will be laid off. As it is.....certain departments such as the SAC Team, Packaging Team, Verification Team have new employees. If you haven't notice already, internal cases are being return more due to "not understanding". REALLY......you are not helping these people, but affecting all campuses trying to move things forward.
No one will give you a specific department because no layoffs occurred. Fake news.
What department at home office?..
I don't worry about fake News.
what is usually says and what it currently says might be different...if we can't produce current information, why is everyone worried?
They sometimes will announce when other departments or locations have been affected...
The email usually says "Affected colleagues were notified by their managers yesterday."
We need to print up tee shirts with that slogan on it.
Anyone know what department(s)?
You obviously don't know how layoffs work. They tell you not to talk about it with others mainly to keep the fear down until everyone who has been laid off has been told. They sometimes will announce when other departments or locations have been affected, but more than once I learned only when my email to someone bounced back.
When its your turn, they give the standard speech of why and what you will get and blah blah blah. You get the rest of the paperwork in the mail to complete. Many in here don't give specifics because they don't want to lose the small pittance of a severance that they get. I would have to dig out my severance paperwork from a while back to see what it says about nondisclosure, suing, etc. It might vary depending on what position you had.
For those who think this is false...you guys need some humbling! I have worked for Devry for over 11 years. Yes, I was offered a severance package. Good luck to you all!
It is true. Change is on its way. Starts at HO first and then rolls out.
I haven’t enjoyed working here since about 2011. Before then it was good camaraderie, good teamwork and actual student focus despite occasional management jackassery. Now most of the folks I know are gone and those that are left are remote. Constant stress and layoffs and restructuring and throwing away the company and increased numbers expectations and decreased freedom to innovate have all made the place dismal and unbearable.
we enjoyed each other!
typical...a university that can't get its facts straight, staffed by people who can't get theirs straight either. We deserve each other.
He can't tell you because there have been no layoffs
I am sorry to hear about your position. Can you tell us whether they are sticking to the standard severance compensation rules, or if they stiffed you on it because of the transfer? Good luck sincerely in your search for a new position
Fake News. Just more generic comments with no specifics. There have been no layoffs.
you must care about disclosure, because you haven't provided any details. If you were well compensated, and you signed a non disclosure agreement, that's one thing...but if you've been given a cardboard box, severance, and a map out of the building, why skimp on details? They haven't done you any favors...so why make it easier on them?
Yes...it's true! I am one of the employees at HO that has been told my position has been eliminated effective July 1st. I'm not supposed to disclose any information but ....who cares....what can they do now??? I will tell you that there are more changes... Good Luck!
It's an eyewash...put out bad information, and wait to see who broadcasts it. Old agency trick.
it is not a rumor!! You'll find out soon enough!
Fake news.
enough with the rumors....specific departments?
For-profit toilet paper mentality--use it, toss it.
I heard that...here we go!
