Thread regarding McDermott International Inc. layoffs

Tyler office

Anyone hearing what will happen to the Tyler office? Got a good group of engineers that have been working together for a long time. Just need a chance to get back to winning way to show off our abilities that built the EPC company.

That is why MCD will fail. The so called businessmen are not smart enough to realize why clients hire them. They put people in charge that have no real skill. Anybody can count beans and make unrealistic schedules.

The same houston idiots are still in charge and local minion leadership are the ones they put in charge. Remaining engineers are still mostly good but they are not in charge of anything now.

We are hearing in Tyler that MCD realizes Houston is a joke and they are shutting down the Westchase office.

Tyler is one of the best offices CB&I has. They do not let project managers, scheduling and purchasing run their engineers. As long as any company lets the company fluff (no value added employees) run their engineers, they will continue to fail.
