All BS except the part about SWN is a joke and there will be layoffs. Only way to not be a joke is to layoff 50%, clean out the ELT, get some new fresh blood with real business sense. Good luck. It could be tomorrow or it could be in August. Like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom!

Layoff training should be complete. Tasks assigned. The moment these young, new Supervisors have been waiting for their entire 4-8 year careers and their chance to terminate someone is upon them. Layoff Eve!. A few swigs of Pinot grigio, sleep like a baby, insure those 11x 17 white envelopes are tucked in securely, while thoughts of severance packages dance in their heads!. They’ll have a busy morning!

Hey Til5PYo-1mys! It’s our last full day of employment with SWN. Your post is hurtful cause you will have a job after today. Please stay off this site. I have been preparing but will all my bills get paid. Easy for you to be all high and mighty.

Is it a done deal that there will be layoffs? Yes. Is it a done deal that it will be tomorrow? No. Just keep doing your job, prepare, and move on whatever side of the New SWN you are on afterwards.

Some people in N.E. PA. & WV should be very concerned especially the a-- kissers that lost their savory in Houston.

Ive already explored around and I have some places to peruse. I really enjoyed the people I work with and for the person whos boss cant look you in the eye, perhaps its because his/her head is the one going to be removed. Everyone in BIS is under that pressure.

My boss cancelled a key project meeting with the team this Thursday and is now going to meet with a vendor in Pennsylvania next week that I had booked travel for. One word. #truth

And if you are a Supervisor, don’t get caught in the ruse of “I’m safe because I’m laying off people”. The big bosses will make you do the dirty work and then mid morning, you’ll likely be terminated, given how top heavy the org is these days. We may end up with ELT only!

For those of you wishing to be laid off, you obviously never have been. While it may work out, it is traumatic ..

The key thing is to not let those still at swn define whether you were “good enough” to stay . Swn at the moment is a group of losers ; and being laid off means losers thought you we not right to stay in the losers group ... remember that .

Also it will take weeks if not months to get this out of your system, but you will...

Too late. The bosses have already identified the losers.. errr.. employees that are getting cut weeks ago. If you're a good employee, never got written up, don't complain too much, show up on time, don't call in sick a lot, stays late when needed, and more importantly.. not getting paid too much then you'll probably get to keep your job and double your work but not get paid more. Daymn!

SWN has become a joke! I admit it's depressing to come to work nowadays and I want to be laid off, I don't wanna be stuck doing tons of work in a crappy environment. Those laid off can look forward to new beginnings, while those left behind deal with the workload and figuring out how to function with half the staff gone. Please HR lay me off, I'm over this depressing hell hole! And I know I'm not the only wishing to be laid off secretly.

In my car crying. I can’t bear the thought of it! Car payments, babysitters, mortgage, lake house. Alimony.... guess I should have saved more. My supervisor is cross eyed, so they’ve never looked me in the eye.

Don't sweat it too much. Take the generous severance package and move on with life. It's better than not getting anything. If you've been a good employee and have some real skills then finding the next gig shouldn't be that hard. There are no guarantees in life. Take the money and run!
