Has there been any layoffs in India?

I've seen this repeated multiple times and it is not true. The ITC is still no where near its peak of about 3200 people. After the numerous re-orgs that took place starting in 2013 the number dropped to around 2400. It is back up to about 2700. While they may be cheap, no company will pay for people they simply don't need or want. If you read the glassdoor reviews from ITC employees, they complain about the constant threat of layoffs as much as US based employees.
I know two people there who were laid off this week.
In general, there will never be mass layoffs in India or Prague as they get paid a fraction of US employees.
