stores are loosing hours ours went from 375 a week to 310 so no one will get more then 20 hours most were getting 35 to 40.
Same here. This is pretty much more efficient than layoffs since a bunch of people will decide to quit on their own and look for a job with better hours. Really low on Walgreens' part.
It's hilarious to me that they are cutting store employee hours, making everyone take all of their accrued PTO time eliminating the bonus for this year–but they are spending many millions to connect all of the buildings on the Deerfield corporate campus via raised structures over the parking lots–all because the executives do not want to have to go outside.
Nothing has changed since these posts definitely the employees can find better companies to work for!
I agree with everyone. They have no LP, have cut hours so bad that it's unsafe. One cashier and one manager. Don't want to give but they want us to give. Who thinks like this?? I answer calls, I C 3's, give breaks, work the cooler/freezer, work truck, and photo. I'm the only one that knows all in photo. I've been there 5 1/2 years and don't even make $10 an hour. So tell me how I'm to look happy every day. This company has went down hill for the last 4 year's. Took our pm's away, but yet a "beauty consultant" still gets theirs and does NOTHING except make sales. And sales come from all pos not just theirs. When I say nothing, they DON'T work truck or ad tags, straighten their isles, Nothing but sales. Ok who thought of this.?? I'm looking for another job believe me. Also not to mention I recently had to use "our" clinic, $5 copay. Not true. Just to look in my ears and throut they billed $244.00 ins. Paid $170.00 I paid my $5 and I got a bill for the rest. Really Walgreens.
This is really a horrible way to run a business.. The people making these store cuts should know that running a store on 300 hours is just inviting all the dishonest people to come steal from Walgreens.When we are so short staff we can’t prevent theft because we are on a register.. We only have one cashier on that budget! A heck of a way to run a store.. Then let’s talk about the way the big wigs think that we should still be getting 9’s on surveys. Oh yeah, burned out employees want to ask for surveys... In what world do these millionaires live in?? Not my world. .Let’s start caring about the employees that keep the business running, or does that not matter either!!’ Corporate American has gone to sh--!!
I've been with Walgreens for almost two years now and never had a problem with the company until now. I agree it's very low and not to mention inconveniencing for them to just randomly cut hours. Employees need their hours! I went from a full time employee to barely part time overnight. It's very difficult to find other employment now a days so I'm stuck here until I'm fortunate enough to leave.
