What are the chances the announced layoffs will take place this week?
There has been very little chatter about it here and at the office since the announcement and I can't really figure out if this is the calm before the storm or simply silence due to the fact nothing will happen just yet.
Anybody knows more about the timing?

Sales & Services started last Thursday and are continuing. Including people actually on active projects on the services side. No communication or coordination. If the goal is to reduce expenses in order to sell CA, they better be careful they don't decimate our existing book of business before they succeed in selling.
Any more people in Islandia? Which department for those whacked on the 4th floor?
When it happens it will likely go down like this...
-You'll get an appointment for 15min, a conference call, just you and your immediate supervisor. Mine was called a 'touch base'.
-The HR rep will be there (though not on the meeting participant list) and will take over after introductions.
-Severance may vary (2 weeks for every year in my case) and the normal paperwork.
A yammer thread does indeed say the NA will happen this week, perhaps over 30 days <that's from the HR VP. I thought that was strange to reveal. It means for 30 days productivity is hindered, tasks are being exchanged/shifted. Many may think it could happen at any moment.

In ITC, management is conveying to their employees that ITC is safe and other centers are impacted. In Isarael, their leader conveyed that they are safe but ITC is impacted..
I guess every center is impacted. Management is just trying to keep the environment cool.

Remember there is life after CA! Keep your heads high and move on, these pricks that have taken over the company do not know of the core values of old. You are all better off leaving, getting your FULL severance, unemployment, and COBRA until you get a new job.
There are places that will kill for the experience you have been exposed to. If these d---s were more interested in growing the company instead of selling it off this would not be happening.
not sure. HR has been busy. I think they are going to cut down some trees or something. I accidentally walked into them having a meeting. They were sharpening axes, weird
