Craftsman hit Lowes this past week. Stores are well stocked with Craftsman toolboxes and tool sets. Lots more coming in outdoor power equipment, hand tools, and power tool accessories.

We have very little Craftsman in stock. Lots of Stanley, but we only have older sets of Craftsman and they dont sell.
No professional will buy a Craftsman tool and the generations that grew up with Craftsman and have replaced a tool in the last 15 or so years are unlikely to be back. However the typical younger Lowes DIY customer knows Grandpa had good tools that said Craftsman and while they would never go to Sears to buy them, they will buy them at Lowes.
Atleast they are well staffed our store is pretty much very empty with little to no inventory....
Additional BS: Lowes sets are not "twice the price" Can't really even compare since the sets are different (Sears sources theirs from the lowest-cost producer, Stanley sources the Lowes stuff elsewhere.) Roughly comparable sets though, the Lowes sets are the same price or cheaper. Roughly comparable toolboxes, again Lowes is cheaper.
Plus you get to go to Lowes, not Sears.
Definitely BS. "Guys" aren't buying Craftsman. Joe Homeowner who doesn't know better MIGHT buy Craftsman. But anyone in the know knows the tools are cheap chinese crap at best no better than Harbor Freight and in many cases Harbor Freight buries Craftsman on both quality and price. The guys who want "full polish" are buying real tools.

This is one of the best things to happen in years. Our stores been jumping since that crap rolled out, it’s all gunmetal and the guys want full polish and to not pay the premium price!
