It seems as if they are filing for most if not all to be Chapter 7. It's my understanding that as soon as they filed, Federal funds for students are cut off. Teach outs are going to be sparse if students can't get funding for those classes.
@TXhesZE-xmb: Can you explain this more? On the bankruptcy listing website, it has South University Virginia listed. But South Richmond and South Virginia Beach are DCEH now.
The entities in the BK filings are EDMC entities, not DCEH entities. EDMC and all of its subsidiaries filed last Friday. DCEH is closing campuses and did not file BK.

That's actually a really good question. If it were Chapter 11, there's a way.
But with Chapter 7, I'm not sure there is a way. My guess is that the powers that be didn't think about that part.
Ai..all the brands...not jst Ai..was a total scheme from beginning to make us non profit so EDMC would loose a lot less with no debt left. Friends of Trump...poor students. Not sure how they will pay any wages/serence out as they can't incur more debt after filling?

For chapter 7 bankruptcy, though, they may just want a clean slate instead of reorganization.
Any idea why these schools are filing in Delaware? Or why they list edmc .com as their web sites with no mention of Dream Center in the filings?
