Imagine that last time AMD mad a run they were three to four years behind on process technology and still could fielded a competitive product.
2019 AMD will be on 7nm and Intel products designed to be release 3 years ago still won’t have any volume on 10nm.
What frustration the product team must be in, do I backtrack and start over on 14++ and be a year later and hampered by inferior area and performance, or design on 10 and be made a fool again by TMG or wait for 7nm and be really late and a fool too.
