Update on recent WARN notice via email

Colleagues,

You may have received, or soon will receive, via U.S. Mail a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice dated June 29, 2018.

Please disregard this notice. It was unfortunately distributed in error, and we were unable to retract the mailing by the time the error was recognized.

Dream Center has been undergoing an ongoing process to evaluate the viability of campus-based programs in certain campuses. We will cease new enrollments as of July 9, 2018 at some locations.

I apologize for any confusion or concern this notice may cause. We will advise you of further information as soon as it is available.

Warn only applies if the entire organization was closing and ceasing all operations. It isn't, therefore, I expect to get no more than a few weeks. They have no financial resources to pay anyway, and between discounts for anyone that continues and those dropping out, I wonder how they will make payroll for people still actively working. Heed my warning...we are not getting 2 months.

I was told to pack up and leave from an Argosy University campus yesterday. All I was told about severance is that I will get paid until I receive an email. No information when that email will be delivered.

People who were laid off today received two months severance. In some cases that is pretty good if you just joined the organization

Federal government requires that you WARN employees of potential closing of a company. If you do this 60 days before you do not have to pay severance. Is this a part of that process? I don't hear anything about severance coming towards employees. They just are shutting down the campuses.

BTW: With South Online's grad rate @ a steady 2-3% supplies are limited.
