Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Any word on Hauppauge Direct Sales closing

I know the office in Hauppauge has not been meeting their sales goal.

Is any truth that that office would merge with Jericho or just close down?

They won’t close the building as it is owned by Altice and it is also a head end. However I did hear that supposedy they will consolidate both Hauppauge and Jericho direct Sales into the Bethpage headquarters as of September 1st. It will be part of the reorganization as they get ready to close the Jericho Office Building by the end of the year for more cost savings.

Most likely that office will be merged with the Jericho office ......if you pass by that office where the Optimum store is located

It still says Cablevision. Makes you wonder why they haven’t changed it to Altice.

From what I hear that office is down to

A handful of reps, that office is a revolving door...

It's my understanding that sales employees are considered "customer-facing" which means their positions are protected until 2020 (according to the NYS PSC agreement with Altice)

...."the Commission will prohibit Cablevision from laying off, or taking any action effecting an involuntary reduction (excluding retirement incentives and attrition), in any customer-facing jobs in New York in the four years following the issuance of this Order."
