Middle States is a lumbering bureaucracy not used to enforcing much of anything. It "evaluates" the colleges that pay its membership fees. Its a little like asking the sheriff to arrest the town council that pays his salary. Expect more very serious warnings and double secret probations.

Highly unlikely that AiP will come out of warning. Middle States is pissed that Ai lied to them about the ACICS schools looking at WASC as well as Middle States.

It's a trust issue. Middle States never trusted DCEH even from when they tried to buy ITT. That along with the recent investigative stories that paint DCEH as even worse than EDMC in terms of predatory practices and ethics that we all know are likely true?

DCEH is waiting to see if Ai Pittsburgh comes of warning status from Middle States to decide its future.

If AiP can't sort out it's accreditation DCEH will phase it like the rest just at a later date.

If not for AiO, AiP would have closed when they sold the building. Most full-time faculty at AiP were let go years ago. For those who have been with Ai for a while, AiP Online Division was “Ai Online” originally, no reason it cannot go back to it. Accrediting bodies no longer care if a school is fully online and AiO no longer needs to be a “division” of another school.

If AiO programs are not quality that falls on the online dean, her crew (who focus on attendance and look not quality), curriculum developers and instructional designers and a lack of professional input (faculty are hired to write courses). It is a canned set of programs, faculty go by videos and lectures in a course (there is no teaching by faculty) and grading is from a predesigned rubric that mainly notes if assignments were turned in on time and if the pieces are there, not on creativity or talent.

Apply if you need work.

Our campus is tired of being a shell and a crutch for Ai Online to have accreditation access to Title IV funding. AiP is only being spared so Ai Online can use our accreditation.

What exactly is going on that we should alert Middle States about?

If you work at AI online- you are supporting a total fraud. I worked at an on ground schools and every portfolio we got from online was a total joke. Online is a huge rip off. The graduates actually thought they would be marketable. Consumers need to know that you can't take art classes online and expect to have a worthwhile portfolio. Do you know what the employment percentage is.... below 10%. If it is a money maker, it is a huge fraud. I am sickened to think that DCEH uses Christianity has a crutch to supporting such baloney. I hope the entire company goes down soon

Ai Online is under Ai Pittsburgh Middle States Accreditation.

Ai Online actually makes money so DCEH has to keep Ai Pittsburgh or Online loses its accreditation.

Ai Pittsburgh should not remain open and should be on the list like the other Ai schools.

July 2 is Monday so if DCEH announces late tomorrow, Monday would be acceptable for a Middle States announcement.
