To all who liked my post im here all week badump bump... :) waiting for him though to have their town hall and expect it to be calm then a wise arse actually speak up and ask this.
This is the absolute best post ever. Thank you for lightening up a sad day of missing my coworkers. :-)
I wasn’t surprised by the layoffs (yes, it happened to me too) what I am surprised about is how poorly this was managed. The sale/acquisition was leaked to the media in January so we knew early on things would be changing even though it wasn’t final until April. Because we knew about the acquisition earlier than we would have otherwise, I thought that would “motivate” them to have a plan but all we ever heard was, “don’t spend money, don’t spend money”. On the calls and meetings that I participated in there was never any mention about health solutions or a plan on integrating the two companies so I figured this would be their course of action. Incredibly poor execution.

That made me laugh, thank you anonymous poster!
No its not that i wasnt surprised. Just the overall way they have handled this since the purchase. Hardly any communication from them at all since the purchase. Thats what ive been more pissed off about than anything else...Then all of a sudden is time to cut and their first major communication to us is an "apologetic" cut crap email message. End rant.
Are you really that surprised? I thought everyone knew something was coming. Given SS&C's past record I was expecting it to be much worse (in terms of pure numbers).
