Is it finally over? At least for the East Coast?

dst - Bye Felicia.
you - Who's Felicia?
dst - Exactly....
buh. bye.
Interesting about the common theme in the thread. 20%. That seemed to be the common figure used in determining what amount to cut at each location. Like they are fixated on that number.
I work for one of the international sub-companies. So far we've not been touched but I suspect that's just a matter of time. If not today then tomorrow or later. I read some cuts in the offshore division World Wide Services.
Some people look to have been told it's over for some US sites, some might have more tomorrow. Here's some perspective though: a few years ago we sold part of the DST Global Solutions company to SS&C (assets mainly in Australia, UK and Thailand). They suffered a 20% cut almost straight away. Then another cut and another cut. There's hardly anything left. The numbers were decided by SS&C, but the positions by local management. It wasn't overlap, just numbers. This is just the SS&C modus operandus. I would expect more cuts later even if you are told "it's over".
Curious if night shift part timers are walking into any layoffs tonight. we shall see. ugh.
