I posted a topic 9 months ago to outsource CoreTech. It was obviously met with biased opposition. However, Fowler knew the jig was up then and did a dump and run 9 months later. CoreTech for far too long offered mediocre services at high prices. The “simplified” bill is a joke and a desperate move to fund costs they didn’t want to get rid off. Their job opportunities also a joke. Just musical chairs shuffling the same bodies around. Your GE Digital leaders are to blame. S---ing up billions of dollars with little to show for it. I have been with GE 18 years. It is not hard to predict the demise of a business.
GE is absolutely outsourcing both coretech and cyber security. We need to find other employment or just accept what comes our way as contractors. http://dailyjobfix.com/
Reminds me of Rambo
"Retired GE Leader: You did everything to make this private war happen. You've done enough damage. This mission is over. Do you understand me? This mission is over! Look at them out there! Look at them! If you won't end this now, they will kill you. Is that what you want? It's over Johnny. It's over!
GE DT Employee: Nothing is over! Nothing! You just don't turn it off! It wasn't my war! You asked me, I didn't ask you! And I did what I had to do to win! But somebody wouldn't let us win! And I come back to the world and I see all those maggots on CNBC, protesting me, spitting. Calling me business killer and all kinds of vile crap! Who are they to protest me, huh? Who are they? Unless they've been me and been there and know what the hell they're yelling about!
Retired GE Leader: It was a bad time for everyone. It's all in the past now.
GE DT Employee: For you! For me ex-GE life is nothing! In GE we had a code of a$$ kissing, you kiss my a--, I kiss yours. Back here there's nothing!
Retired GE Leader: You're the last of an elite leadership group, don't end it like this.
GE DT Employee: Back there I could run a function, I could drive a business into the ground, I was in charge of billion dollar cost outs, back here I can't even hold a job parking cars!"
Those still hanging on, WTF? Are you all that lazy to get new jobs? You all have been s---ing GE's teat which no longer provides the milk for far too long!
It's time to realize that the gravy train has come to the station, and god forbid you actually need to put in an honest 40 hours a week.
Have you no shame? You all are responsible for the pillage of GE and rightfully so, your kush jobs are on the line.
If you’re still wondering if you should get out....

Can't say I'm saddened at CoreTech's demise. Overpriced, seriously. Horrible support. Support teams that don't understand the technology that they support. Maybe we will be able to get a bloody PC refreshed in a timely manner again... And servers built in less than 6 months time...
Most healthcare DT is in Budapest so they will be trimmed from GE. Some layoffs in the transition. Yes core tech will be a spun off. Unfortunately quite a few will be laid off. Unlike in the past, things will move much faster so we should know were we stand in next 3 months. If you are aligned to Aviation or Renewable's you should be ok. Those in Power will be in for a rough ride. Also rumor has it that cyber security's fate is already set but not ready to announce the new merger as separate company.
He digital to be renamed ge digit you will shrink that much.
A spin-off to a smaller company sounds good to me. I’m excited for the change. Get rid of GE bureaucracy and make a difference. I’m (cautiously) pumped!
Planning to be laid off or sold to a new company. It was a good run while it lasted.
I 2nd the post about genpack... where are they now?
So let’s it make things clear if they spin us off and only have a small part of ownership you can bet anyone making good pay will be let go...
Anyone ever heard of Genpact? Look up the history if you are not aware...
I feel bad for those that have stayed this long, hoping that things would turn around and now get this slap in the face.
Daily Fouler:
"I know its seems crazy that after centralizing we are now decentralizing but that is John's vision. Our job is to execute John's vision."
Or outsourced to tech m
I feel bad for the LPB and below population within CT. Your awful leaders brought this upon themselves by doing everything possible to provide no value to the T1's.
I should never accepted this job... I feel this is the most unstable company I have ever worked for. One day we are growing the next leadership is saying we will be downsizing and layoffs wtf???
Sounds like the rumors are true 😑 feel lied too from leadership
To me it sounds like we are getting spun out into our own entity, which could be a good thing. Sounds like we will be a managed service provider similar to CSC
