I was already laid off once in my previous company. We were invited into the conference room one by one and then escorted out, I wasn't even able to pick up my stuff afterwards (they shipped it to me.)
Are layoffs done the same way at DST? Are people at least given the opportunity to get their things afterwards?

All other items are inventoried by 2 people, documented, and boxed up within 10 business days. The boxes are handed over to HR who ensures they are shipped to your home address.

They are not going to ship anything back to you. Have everything you want to take ready to go. Pictures, personal items, shoes, files. Put it all inabox and be ready.

Yeah some one that left the company on their own a while back their stuff was still here sitting in a box several months later. By their desk. Versus doing "the right thing" and shipping it back to the person they went through his stuff and threw it away or passed it out to people if anyone wanted it.
Anything you want to keep, take it home today at end of day. They rarely pack up your stuff, as it costs money to ship.

Pretty much, I've cleaned my cube and taken everything home. Whatever happens tomorrow or in the next few weeks I won't have anything behind.

At least from our group if you are in they come and tap you on your shoulder and say hey come with us, take you to a conference room then you are done. If you are out of town or on fmla will get a phone call. They are then supposed to pack up your stuff and ship it off to you. "Supposed to". So anything that may be important to you may consider bringing it home tonight if you feel you are at risk.
