The powers that be seem intent on pushing through this 8 week and 4 week classes agenda regardless of whether accrediting bodies approve. They are putting programmatic accreditations at risk and completely ignoring input from faculty.

Hey accrediting bodies...... is dis o’tay wid you?
It's like you've never been involved with a business. Changes like this don't occur unless it's already been cleared with the accrediting bodies. Just because you think DCEH is shady doesn't mean they're stupid. It makes zero sense to dos change of this magnitude without clearing it with all needed parties first. The only stupid one is you for thinking they're doing this Willy-nilly.
If you believe the programmatic accreditators will just sign off then you don’t know much about accrediting bodies. You play by their rules or they pull your accreditation. None of them need to keep any DCEH programs around. All the accrediting bodies are already monitoring more programs than are needed. The recession produced a glut of new programs from schools looking for new revenue streams. They don’t need us. Ignoring the accrediting standards for each program and thinking you can just beg for forgiveness when they find out you’re not in compliance is beyond stupid. It’s suicide.
Accreditation will not want to see us leave. That would be lost revenue. They will sign off over the plan.
We don’t need no stinkin’ Accreditation. Idiots fall right into this trap

Accreditation and most Gainful Employment barriers and rules have been roll backed, loosened or concurrently delayed.
If accreditation is recinded I would be very surprised.
But this iteration of the same old same old ends justify the means sub par educational catastrophe has gotten away with so much skullduggery for so long that one would hope at some point their luck would run out.
If by any miracle of justice it happens, it would be a long time coming and so righteously deserved.
Simple as that.
