Be careful what you wish for.... Everyone I know who has ever been laid off has wound up having to settle for a job they hate even more for less pay. Especially people over 50.
Getting laid off is a terrible status to have...it means you were problematic to your company and they'd rather pay you to leave than keep you.

My husband heard the 26th as well...I for one hope that he gets laid off...he's on the fence. We have a family so of course that is stressful, plus DST is the company he has worked for since college. But I've never felt like he got what he deserved at DST, nor do I feel like he would with SS&C. I am not sure that he will leave on his own, unless SS&C ends up being really bad. I just wish he would get laid off so that he is forced to find something he enjoys more/that is more rewarding, in many ways.

Its the same 2/3 people with half the replies in the last few threads. Internet trolls at its finest. Lay offs could come this month (or tomorrow), but in reality no one on this site knows.

End of the month June 26th guaranteed. They have to help with their sale before the end of the second quarter. Then it's up to ssnc and we are at their mercy. Anything's possible then.
