Why layoffs when you can hire students to do the work of professionals?

You’ll wuss out like the rest of them. Not one of ya will ever step up.
Continued hiring freeze is the key. When the work load gets unbearable, people will quit. That's what I did and after many years of service, I got nothing from them. That is their goal. It has been one of the best decisions I have ever made and after watching hundreds of students get s---ered into programs that provide no future, I would love to see the truth come out. Unfortunately, they are still preying on the most vulnerable people. These aren't jobs that prepare them to make money- they are impossible dreams. There are plenty of programs that provide education that would be an investment in their lives, but so many of the programs will only put them 100K in debt for the rest of their lives. Someone really needs to do a deep dive into the real outcomes of these students. I can provide names and so many stories.
Maybe going "non Profit" changes the typical layoff schedule we all have come to enjoy over the years.
I think everyone is so conditioned at this point people will be let down if they don't do it.
Everyone in Charlotte and Raliegh are just waiting around. A slow steady retreat and no growth in SSB equals teach outs. Our president is a try hard but he has no real leadership. We still don't even have a Dean.... but it's actually not so bad because he never had a clue about anything unless enough students complained for him to put on a "I care" show.
There wont be one or at least not in a large #. Attrition from new pay plans and a continued hiring freeze solves the problem.
