Oxy have hired a lot of failures and dropouts from other companies who couldn't hack it at a professional firm. I know of at least two FEs from Chevrons Midcon group out of Midland and another two from Conoco. These peoples performance was extremely poor and Oxy jumped at the chance to hire them. With Oxys already disgraceful reputation, does lowering the bar even further enhance the companies abilities? Why don't we hire and train employees any more rather than scabbing off other operators scraps?

Totally agree -4ggs. Oxys turnover of professional staff has been terrible. Oxy don't give them a reason to stay with the work environment pushed by management and HR.
What's worse is we run off all the good people. Just look at our geo and engineering techs. We had some good techs but they got laid off or jumped ship and we are left with the crappy remains who can't even do the work they are supposed to do.
