All I want to know if Enbridge will conduct large scale layoff.

EGD does everything Union does, plus more. I assume Union would need to make a strong case to stay, I cannot think of any reason Union gas should be kept as an entity.

Well I guess getting laid off in August is better than December. At least one can enjoy the summer and it’s better weather for standing at the soup kitchens.

I wish AM would be shown the door by the board. He's been the cause of untold misery and his results to date have been less than impressive.. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at his performance review and I hope Line 3 does not get approved as presented to the utilities commission. Try explaining a .5 or 1.2B overrun on that project. Maybe he'll just fire the guy he put in charge of it and leave it at that.

25% of management at EGD & Union Gas after the merger is approved by the OEB. Could be August...they likely have the new EMT already picked out and which President & VPs will be shown the door.

Like most layoffs, they could happen at any time. Most are caught like deer in the headlights and won't know until it happens.

Be proactive. Keep your eyes open for other opportunities, and apply for the ones that look good. Keep your resume and your LinkedIn profile up to date.
