Saw this coming years ago, very toxic culture, based on politics and with poor, inexperienced 1st level managers...
For anybody being made redundant, there are open positions at a competitor:

There has been some good talent to leave but there are also those employees that won't be missed. Pretty typical during any merger or acquisition. Its a new generation of employees too that can't tough things out.
Every team is different. I am absolutely not seeing any layoffs in the field and I am not hearing about any layoffs elsewhere. That does not mean they are or aren't happening. I am seeing a lot of companies like Snowflake, Confluent, Data Bricks, Google, Amazon, Salesforce, Alteryx, Microsoft, and more hire great talent. Everyone has to do what is in their own best interests. For many people still here, they are quite happy and looking towards the future. Mergers create a lot of uncertainty but management has done the best they can to try to be as transparent as possible.
I can confirm 12+ on my team, 4+ on another
Every team in every location has been impacted by the layoffs over summer 2018, even engineering (but mostly Sales, HR, Marketing). Many left on by choice after that, too.
I can confirm 8 layoffs in July from my team
i left that place in few months, mgrs, first line one are awful, the newly hired ones i mean. Do nothing except micromanage and all they care abt is jira updates, and are totally incompetent.
what teams are impacted?
Yes. Dissolving and reducing teams as well.
